The Covid-19 pandemic has caused worldwide chaos and an unprecedented way of working. Following many weeks of lockdown and now being back in business, we have put in place safety measures for all weddings, events and family photography sessions during this time. We will update this best we can, following information updated on the ‘GOV.UK’ website.

Darklemoner Photography will continue to provide photographic services implementing Covid-19 safety measures. This will be the case until another announcement is made by the government.

Family sessions are limited to only members of the same household.

Weddings, civil partnership ceremonies will not be permitted to take place except in exceptional circumstances.    (updated 01/11/2020)

From Wednesday the 6th of December 2020

We will be following the previous three-tier system restrictions following the latest announcement made by the government.    (updated 28/11/2020)

I will not be meeting any couples in person to discuss a session, all pre wedding meetings with new or existing clients will be done by telephone, email or video call.

In terms of general cleanliness, I always clean and sanitise my equipment, props etc. after each session and if they have not been used in a while. I always wash my hands before your session and use hand sanitiser before and throughout the session.

Most sessions will be outdoors but during indoor settings, I will wear a face covering and maintain social distancing of 2 meters apart where possible.

Photo products such as albums, usually discussed after a wedding or event during home visits can be done online. we will deliver catalogues and samples etc. to your door for you to look through, minimizing contact.

Using a long lens during outdoor shoots will allow more distance from your family.

Please bring hand sanitiser with you and please maintain social distancing.

As per government guidelines, it is not mandatory to wear face masks outdoors. I will not be wearing a mask, as I will be socially distancing and in the open air. This will look less intimidating to children and allows you to hear my instructions more clearly. If you have any concerns or would feel more comfortable in me wearing a mask, please let me know ahead of our session.

Symptoms of covid-19

• fever or a high temperature (above 37.8° C)
• new, persistent cough
• a loss of, or change to, your sense of taste or smell

If anyone becomes unwell or suffers from the above symptoms, even on the day of your session, the booking will be cancelled and rescheduled to a new date.

If you or a member of your family becomes unwell or suffers from the above symptoms within 14 days of a session, please inform me immediately, I will do the same.

It’s really important to us, that you and I feel reassured and safe during our session and none of us are being put at risk by what we are doing.

All sessions can be rescheduled should you need to self-isolate, shield or if anyone feels unwell. In that case you will be offered another date, considering the weather and available dates. If for any reason you need to cancel your session this year, you will receive the full refund.
